Honors College New Student Orientation
Honors College Howl
SAVE THE DATE: Thursday, August 16
WHERE: Woodward Hall Room 101 (Building 82 on the UNM Central Campus Map). Located behind the west side of the UNM SUB (Student Union Building).
TIME: 10am-1pm (Light refreshments will be provided)
The Honors Howl is an orientation event where all newly admitted Honors students (current UNM, transfers students, and incoming freshmen) in the class of fall 2018 are invited to learn more about what it means to be a part of the Honors College community at UNM.
During the Howl students will:
• learn about the Honors College academic requirements
• meet the Honors Faculty and advisement staff
• discover how they can participate in and join many of the Honors student groups
• have the chance to chat with current Honors students and Alumni
Check-in will begin at 9:30am outside of Woodward Hall. Staff in red polos will be stationed around the building grounds to direct students and answer questions. Students who are unable to attend the Howl due to a prior academic/student association requirement will have the opportunity to attend a make-up orientation session. Questions? Email email@example.com.
Attendance to the Honors College Fall Howl is mandatory for all newly admitted students to Honors. This includes current UNM and transfer students admitted for the fall 2018 semester, as well as the freshmen class of fall 2018. A detailed itinerary of the Honors Howl will be emailed to attendees on August 10. Please make sure you begin checking your UNM Email account as that is the account where we will likely share any Honors NSO updates.
