Fans turn out as UNM hosts soccer star Hope Solo

“It takes sacrifice to create change.”
That’s the message left with the more than 600 people who gathered Monday night inside The University of New Mexico’s SUB Ballrooms to hear from Olympic and World Cup Champion, Hope Solo.
Solo, 38, visited UNM as part of Honors College’s Carruthers Lecture Series.
“Thank you so much for having me,” Solo said. “I’ve always had a love for UNM and a love for the City of Albuquerque.”
