Get Involved in Honors

Honors is so much more than a classroom experience - it's a community that you can make your own!

There are plenty of ways for you to connect with other students and faculty, explore what interests you, flex your creativity and make the most of your Honors experience. From student organizations and on-campus events, to professional organizations and programs, there's something for everyone.

Honors Events:
Check out our full event schedule, but keep an eye out for galleries and events held in our Spectra Gallery (in the Forum) as well as our Discovery Series.

Honors Student-Led Organizations:

Honors has several student-led organizations where you can meet other students and faculty, as well as help shape what events and programs students get to be a part of.

Professional Organizations

The UNM Honors College is a member of the National Honors Collegiate Council (NCHC) and the Western Regional Honors Council (WRHC). Faculty members, students and staff attend and present their work at these conferences each year. As an Honors student, you have access to scholarships to help attend these annual conferences, along with funding and support for other specialized scholarships, awards and programs.
