UNM Honors College celebrates Homecoming and Open House

Distinguished and Young Alums to be recognized
The UNM Honors College will host a Homecoming and Open House on Saturday, September 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring a family-friendly atmosphere with an art exhibition at Spectra Gallery, crafts for kids, and a silent auction to benefit the Scribendi literature and arts magazine. The event will also honor the 2024 Young Alumni and Distinguished Alumni awardees, including Alison Turner, Julia Youngs, Alina Deshpande, and David Shannon, recognizing their significant achievements post-graduation. Current students will offer guided tours of the renovated Honors College building, with food and beverages provided in collaboration with the UNM Office of Alumni Relations. The event wraps up in time for attendees to join the UNM Alumni Homecoming tailgate at 4 p.m. before the UNM-Fresno State football game at 6:30 p.m. More information is available on the UNM Honors College website.
