Flex Lab

Welcome to the Honors College’s Flex Lab, where you can: edit, print, and create works. 

  • Edit documents using Adobe Creative Cloud. 
  • Print a conference poster. 
  • Trim your photographic prints. 

The Flex Lab and correlating resources are used to support the Honors College’s educational mission, foster creativity, and support research among honors students.

Flex Lab Resources: 

  • Epson P8000 Printer, 44” wide color pigment printer
  • Epson P7000 Printer, up to 24" wide
  • 3 iMac computers
  • Epson 4490 scanner (scans negatives and 2d prints) 
  • Epson GT-1500 scanner
  • Projector 
  • Whiteboard walls 
  • Large trimming mats and paper cutter
  • 3d printer (coming soon!)
  • Stop Motion Documentation Rig
  • Industrial Sink for Wet Work 
  • Convenient patio access for spray gluing and fixative work

***UROC Honors Students can make full sized, 48"x36" posters!!!!

HONORS STUDENT ACCESS

Current UNM honors students can print one conference poster (at a maximum dimension of 48”x36”), or the equivalent smaller sized prints, for a research or creative project, each semester. All laser cutter use must be supervised by trained personnel. Come to the flex lab where a lab monitor can assist you with editing, printing and more!

Wednesday, 1pm-4:45pm, by appointment

Fridays, 8 AM - 5 PM, by appointment.

Temporary Flex Lab Hours for Spring 2024:

Monday: 1pm-4pm
Tuesday: 8am-11am
Wednesday: 1pm-4:45pm
Thursday: 8am-11am
Friday: 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm

Please prepare your files to your desired output size (note our printer will print 44" wide) with a minimum resolution of 300 in advance of your arrival at the flex lab. Failure to do so might result in us needing to reschedule your appointment
