I am passionate about helping UNM students navigate complex postsecondary systems and create plans for academic, personal, and professional goals. As the Academic Advisement Coordinator, I strive to transform processes in Honors Academic Advisement to increase accessibility and transparency of information, as well as increase retention of Honors College students. Before working in advisement, I taught in several charter schools in Albuquerque as a Teach for America 2018 corps member. I graduated with an MEd in Reading and Literacy from Eastern New Mexico University in 2023, and I started a PhD in Rhetoric and Writing at UNM in Summer 2025. My research interests include ethics and user-centered design in professional and technical communication. When I’m not working or studying, I love vegetable gardening, cooking vegan meals, and running in the bosque.
