Comics Studio
Small Bites - 1 Credit Hour - UHON 375

Instructor(s): Amaris Ketcham

Course Description

This workshop invites students to explore the art of comics in a fun, low- pressure environment. Each week, students will engage in playful drawing exercises, collaborate with peers, and create short comics inspired by prompts, games, and activities. No prior drawing or comics experience is required—just an openness to creativity. Students will leave with a small portfolio of first-draft comics and the confidence to continue creating.  Please note that this is a generative process and course, so we will be less interested in revising and perfecting work.

Texts

While there are no assigned texts for this course, you will need to bring your sketchbook and preferred drawing materials to each class session.
