Amy Lewis
Amy Lewis is a fifth-year majoring in Secondary Education with an ELA concentration and Spanish with a certificate in Honors. They are from Taos, New Mexico. They have been an officer of Juniper Reimagined for three years, an NSO leader for two summers, and are a LANL scholar ambassador for the College Enrichment Program. Amy enjoys hiking, walks, knitting, and eating lentils. They are a huge advocate of letting kids watch SpongeBob because they think it fosters creativity. If they were a plant, they would be gambel oak, which is sometimes classified as a tree and sometimes a bush depending on its height.
Andres De Santiago
Andres De Santiago is a sophomore majoring in Secondary Education with a Language Arts concentration and a minor in Honors. They are from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Andres will be serving as the treasurer for the Aspiring Educators Club as well as being a member of the Club Tennis team. He enjoys drinking coffee, listening to music, playing tennis, cooking, baking, crocheting, thrifting, and fashion. Fun facts about him include that he was working in a food truck by the time he was 7 and that he just learned how to ride a bike this summer. If he was a plant, he would be some type of herb, maybe rosemary.
Anthony Languit
Anthony Languit is a pre-med junior majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Honors. He is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Anthony is the ASUNM Executive Director of the Elections Commission, a member of the Pre-Medical Society, and a member of the American Chemical Society. He does immunology research at the UNM School of Medicine. He also hopes to start tutoring for CAPS this year. His hobbies include exercise, spikeball, pickleball, board games, and spending time with friends and family. Some fun facts about him are that he can make a cheese pizza in 17 seconds and is the oldest of five kids with a 16-year age gap between him and the youngest. If he was a plant, he would be a cherry blossom.
Audrey Lee
Audrey Lee is a sophomore majoring in Chemical and Biological Engineering with a certificate in Honors. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. On campus, she is a student researcher, a URAD student ambassador, and a Phi Eta Sigma member and was the ASUNM senate clerk. Off campus, she is a Hero's Path Palliative Care Board of Director member and volunteer, a High School Varsity American Football Assistant Coach and the Albuquerque Academy Alumni Council Interim Secretary. She enjoys calligraphy, country western dancing, writing poetry, and beekeeping. Fun facts about her include that she is a pre-med student interested in pursuing a career in clinical genetics and a fifth generation New Mexican who comes from a ranching family. If she was a plant, she would be a sunflower.
Bella Norero
Bella Norero is a sophomore majoring in Population Health and minoring in Chemistry with a certificate in Honors. She is from Silver City, New Mexico. She works as a quality assistant in the department of internal medicine. She is a member of the American Medical Student Association UNM Chapter, through which she has volunteered multiple times at the UNM & LoveLace Ronald McDonald House, cooking dinner for the families staying there. She has also done volunteer work with ASUNM. Fun facts about her include that she is an auntie with a niece & nephew that are twins and another nephew and that she loves pizza. If she was a plant she would be a Monstera Swiss Cheese plant.
Brooke Duffy
Brooke Duffy is a junior majoring in History and Political Science with a minor in Honors. She is from Las Cruces, New Mexico. Brooke is an Honors LLC Resident Advisor in the SRC Apartments, a NRHH member, and does lots of work with the Residence Life Community Associations. She enjoys animanga (Attack on Titan and Dungeon Meshi, cooking, baking, music, and making playlists. Fun facts about her include that she is left-handed and even at nearly 21 years old she is still afraid of aliens. If she was a plant, she would be a mint plant.
Collette Wilson
Collette Wilson is a senior majoring in Film and Digital Arts and Business Management with a minor in Honors. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She volunteers with ASUNM whenever she can, especially for film events like Cherry Reel and has a part time job helping advisors for the College of Education. She loves to dance, swim, and ski. She likes to play roleplaying games like D&D or Blood on the Clocktower. She does some on-set film work when it is available. Her fun facts include that in high school, she did a mentorship with an amazing mentor who worked for Walt Disney Studios and was fortunate enough to be able to visit and tour the Studios. She has two Australian Shepherds, and they've had two wonderful and healthy liters of puppies. If she was a plant, she would probably be a succulent. Succulents are known for being loyal and having strong endurance and she would like to think that she’s someone who is trustworthy and reliable like that too.
Daniel Feng
Daniel Feng is a junior majoring in Biochemistry with minors in Health Medicine and Human Values and Psychology and a certificate in Honors. He is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is a member of the UNM Health Professions Symposium Committee. He participates in the UNM American Chemical Society, the Walk to Defeat ALS, and the BA/MD Organization. He supervised the Undergraduate Health Science Enrichment Program and works as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for UNM CTL. He enjoys gardening, swimming, solving speedcubes, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing his clarinet, listening to music, and going on walks around campus. Fun facts about him include that his fastest time solving a Rubik's Cube is 10.32 seconds and the fastest one he has recorded is 11.45 seconds. If he was a plant, he would be a Giant Sequoia.
Dimitri Kittrell
Dimitri Kittrell is a sophomore majoring in Civil Engineering with a certificate in Honors. He is from Little Rock, Arkansas. He is involved with Hokona Hall's Community Association and UNM's chapter of Institute of Transportation Engineers. Dimitri enjoys anything outdoors, specifically hiking and biking. He also likes looking at city design. Fun facts about him include that he is passionate about gun violence prevention and is really good at geography. If he was a plant, he would be a palm tree because he just likes them.
Elena De Santo
Elena De Santo is a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry with minors in Forensic Anthropology and Honors. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is an intern at Sandia National Labs. Elena enjoys track, sewing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and baking. A fun fact about her is that she is left-handed. If she was a plant, she would be a pothos; they are pretty, don't require a lot of water, and hard to kill.
Emily Bolton
Emily Bolton is a sophomore majoring in Emergency Medical Services and Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in Honors. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. On campus, she has been a part of the Symphonic band, consisting of rehearsals, practices, and performances. She loves reading (yay books!), writing, listening to music, road trips, hiking, going to the gym, and spending time with her cats. Fun facts about her include that she has been in music for about 9-10 years and that she got her EMT-Basic license at 18. If she was a plant, she would be a flower, probably a snapdragon or sunflower.
GoGo Salguero
GoGo Salguero is a sophomore majoring in English and Political Science and minoring in Communications and Honors. She is from Portales, New Mexico. She is involved with the Residence Life Community Association and the Pre-Law Society, is the Scribendi Office Manager, and works at the Honors Front Desk. She enjoys music, arts and crafts, camping, food, thrifting, witchy things, and Taylor Swift. Fun facts about her include that her legal middle name is GoGo after a character in Quentin Tarantino‘s movie Kill Bill: Volume 1. If she was a plant, she would be an ivy.
Hadley Heng
Hadley Heng is a sophomore majoring in History with minors in Museum Studies and Archeology and a certificate in Honors. She is from Morrison, Colorado. Hadley regularly attends the UNM Social Dance Club Friday events and participates in the semester shows for SLOPE. She enjoys crochet, art, reading, and dancing. Fun facts about her include that she is 5' 10" and Irish Danced for 8.5 years. If she was a plant, she would be a cactus.
Heather Johnson
Heather Johnson is a senior majoring in Civil Engineering with a distinction in Honors. She is from Kansas City, Missouri. Heather is the secretary of ASCE, treasurer of Juniper Reimagined, and participated in the SWE and AGC conferences. She is a history nerd, avid reader, and plays piano and videogames. Fun facts about her include that she built her own computer and that she has a transatlantic accent. If she was a plant, she would be heather.
Iliana Archuleta
Iliana Archuleta is a junior majoring in Sociology with a minor in Spanish and a distinction in Honors. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Iliana has been involved with the Refugee and Immigrant Well-being Project and the UNM Food Pantry. Her time is spent either doing homework, exercising and hanging out with friends, going to local DIY shows, and working part-time at Buffalo Exchange. She loves fashion, clothing, and sociology. She is learning to sew and draw. Fun facts about her include that she has a cat named Dolly Parton and that she loves vintage clothes and things shaped like other things (example: her tie that’s shaped like a phone). If she was a plant, she would be a pothos because they’re invincible.
Isabel Laybourne
Isabel Laybourne is a sophomore majoring in Anthropology with a certificate in Honors. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has been involved in the UNM Anthropology Undergraduate Society. Her hobbies and interests include HTML & CSS, baking, doodling, gaming, and reading. A fun fact about her is that she loves collecting stickers but can’t commit to using them. If she was a plant, she would be a dandelion.
Isabelle Escontrias
Isabelle Escontrias is a sophomore majoring in Sociology with a Pre-Law concentration and Communications with a concentration in Interpersonal Communications with minors in Psychology and Communications and a certificate in Honors. She is from Tomball, Texas.She has a job at the SUB as a personal assistant on the management team. She loves reading, as well as cooking and baking in her kitchen. She also does puzzles, diamond art, coloring and walking on campus. Fun facts about her include that she loves all forms of animals and got up close with whales last summer and is interested in space, planets, stars, and the possibility of aliens. If she was a plant, she would be a monstera plant.
Jade Serna
Jade Serna is a junior majoring in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Family and Child Studies with a certificate in Honors. She is from El Paso, Texas. She is involved with the El Puente Research Fellowship, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, HSA, ASUNMELL, NSLS, and the McNair Scholars Program. She enjoys cello, baking, cooking, reading, writing, exercising, research, volunteering, shopping, traveling, listening to music, and watching shows and movies. Fun facts about her include that she lived in Germany for 5 and a half years because she is a former Army Brat and this past summer at U of A she was in a laboratory within the Department of Medicine Division of Endocrinology studying the effects of estrogen on ER+ breast cancer and the formation of bone metastasis while involved in a 10-week research program. If she was a plant, she would be a Lily of the valley.
Jaimie Ritchie
Jaimie Ritchie is a senior majoring in Civil Engineering with minors in Music, Honors, and Math. She is from Taos, New Mexico. Jaimie is in the UNM Symphony Orchestra and is taking violin lessons through the university. She played chess throughout high school and reached a high level. Off campus Jaime does the martial art Aikido, which is a nonviolent martial art focused on avoiding an attack without causing harm and using others’ momentum against them. She loves hiking and skiing. Jaimie does rafting, biking, swimming and almost any outdoor activity. Some fun facts about her include that she loves making new friends and playing in creative TTRPG campaigns (including D&D). If she was a plant, she would be an aspen.
Jazmin Rodriguez Lopez
Jazmín Rodriguez Lopez is a sophomore pursuing a double major in Biology and Spanish with a certificate in Honors. Jazmín is deeply connected to her community and is familiar with campus resources, particularly El Centro de la Raza where she serves as a Program assistant. She has been accepted for a research fellowship for this upcoming academic year. Beyond academics, Jazmín is an avid music enthusiast, appreciating the undertones of lyrics, and a dedicated reader of nonfiction. When not immersed in books or music, she enjoys the thrill of horror movies and the adventure of camping. Jazmín finds joy in trying new foods and friendly debates. Fun facts about her include that she enjoys collecting Smiski figurines and that her favorite street food is Gorditas de Nata. If she were a plant, she would be a resilient and Balanced Bonsai Tree.
Kadra Guillermo
Kadra Guillermo is a junior majoring in English-Philosophy with a minor in Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies and a distinction in Honors. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is the vice president for HSA and the managing editor for Scribendi 2024-2025. Outside of Honors, she is a member of Phi Eta Sigma. She enjoys reading, writing, playing piano/guitar, crocheting, and crafting. Fun facts about her include that she loves to listen to music (some of her favorite bands include Daughter, Big Thief, and the Cranberries) and that she is double-jointed. If she was a plant, she would be a succulent.

Lauren To is a junior majoring in Electrical Engineering with a certificate in Honors. She is from Las Cruces, New Mexico. She is involved with an outside internship, RHA/CA, and KLCC. She enjoys reading (comics), swimming, and music. A fun fact about her is that she wrote and published a book in high school. If she was a plant, she would be a Money Tree.
Madelyn Litschke
Madelyn Litschke is a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Psychology and a distinction in Honors. They are from Aztec, New Mexico. They love writing, gaming, and watching anime. Fun facts about them include that they are studying to become a pediatric doctor and they own a cat named Stevie who lives in their dorm. If they were a plant, they would be a succulent.
Madi Hogans
Madi Hogans is a senior majoring in Honors Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts and English with a minor in History. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is currently involved with AJAAS and Limina: UNM Nonfiction Review. She has previously been involved with Scribendi, Hobbit Society, and Noticias. She enjoys reading, writing, and creating her next playlist on YouTube Music (for which she will never apologize). Fun facts about her include that she’s seen Green Day in concert twice and didn't have to remove her wisdom teeth but did it for the free ice cream. If she was a plant, she would be a lilac.

Maira Juarez is a sophomore majoring in Political Science and Criminology with a certificate in Honors. She is from Santa Fe, New Mexico. She enjoys getting involved, running, and reading. A fun fact about her is that she is allergic to peaches. If she was a plant, she would be a sunflower.
Marissa Leyva
Marissa Leyva is a senior majoring in Biochemistry with a certificate in Honors. She is from Pueblo West, Colorado. She is currently an undergraduate research volunteer in the Newsome and Takacs-Vesbach labs, formerly a research volunteer in the Denkers laboratory. She works at the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology. She has been a part of UNM’s American Chemical Society (ACS), Advancing Women in STEM (AWS), and the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB). She loves to read, bake, play sports, crochet, and watch movies! Fun facts about her include that she has three sisters, and they are all born in July, and she is left-handed. If she was a plant, she would be a bamboo plant.
Mary Martinez
Mary Martinez is a senior majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in Honors. She is from Austin, Texas. In the 2023-2024 school year, she was on the Scribendi staff. She is captain of the women’s ultimate frisbee team, the Bombshells, a member of the Phi Eta Sigma honor society, and a member of the UNM branch of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. She is an avid knitter and enjoys making clothes, accessories, and stuffed animals. She is interested in press relations and strategic communications. A fun fact about her is that she listens to her playlists alphabetically because she thinks it is more random than shuffle. If she was a plant, she would be an orchid.
Maye Montoya
Maye Montoya is a junior majoring in Special and Elementary Education while seeking a TESOL Endorsement and a certificate in Honors. She is from Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico. She is a part of Alpha Chi Omega, has a work-study job as a tour guide at UNM, and is the Campus Relations and Outreach Chair for Lobothon! She loves coloring, being outdoors, shopping, swimming, and golfing. Fun facts about her include that she loves Dutch Bros and puppies! If she was a plant, she would be a sunflower.
Mia Bargas
Mia Bargas is a senior majoring in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology and a certificate in Honors. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is the president of Make-A-Wish as well as highly involved in LoboTHON. She enjoys traveling, yoga, weightlifting, and reading. Fun facts about her include that her favorite food is Pho and that she is trying to grow a garden. If she was a plant, she would be lavender.
Mikaela Johnson
Mikaela Johnson is a junior majoring in Journalism with a minor in History and a certificate in Honors. She is from Silver City, New Mexico. She is a second year editor for Limina: UNM Nonfiction Review. She loves to read, write, paint, and bake! Fun facts about her include that she was the class champion for her multiplication tables in third grade (she’s very proud of that) and she was born on the second, and all major events in her life have somehow correlated with the number two. If she was a plant, she would be a sunflower.
Miriam Bechtel
Miriam Bechtel is a junior majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Math and a certificate in Honors. She is from Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is currently working as an undergraduate researcher at the Cancer Research Facility on North Campus and a general chemistry lab TA on main campus. She is the president of the undergraduate American Chemical Society on campus, volunteers with the Road Runner food bank, and tutors math and chemistry in her own time. She is a huge fan of the outdoors - skiing, snowboarding, biking, hiking, running, camping, you name it. Fun facts about her include that she lived in Africa for 9 years (in Kenya and Tanzania) and she is a dual citizen of the US and Slovakia. If she was a plant, she would be a purple moth orchid.
Mischa Clouthier
Mischa Clouthier-Romero is a junior majoring in Pharmacy with a certificate in Honors. She is from Cañon City, Colorado. She is involved with the Pre-Pharmacy Society. She enjoys dance, jewelry making, reading, and crafting. Fun facts about her include that she loves to travel and has been to 39 states, (she hopes to reach all 50 by her 21st birthday) and she jumps at every opportunity she can and was even a part of five clubs/sports every year of high school. If she was a plant, she would be a eucalyptus plant.
Morgan Nelson
Morgan Nelson is a sophomore majoring in Operations Management and Marketing with a minor in English and a certificate in Honors. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is the Chi Omega sorority marketing director and foundation ambassador, the director of communications on the ASUNM executive board, and works part-time at New Mexico Escrow solutions. She enjoys party planning, making flower arrangements, reading, and anything that unleashes her creative side. A fun fact about her is that she LOVES coffee and animals. If she was a plant, she would be a sunflower.
Rae Wilson
Rae Wilson is a junior majoring in Sociology with a minor in Honors. They are from Albuquerque, New Mexico. They played and helped run club Rugby their first two years at UNM. They have also submitted and been published in Limina: UNM Nonfiction Review. They have worked off campus and volunteered with local organizations working with unhoused youth and families. They enjoy reading, hiking, crocheting, and over-analyzing media. Fun facts about them include that they have a shoebox full of a concerning number of stickers and their top song for the last year on Spotify is Treehouse (Alex G). If they were a plant, they would be a Florenza Sunflower.
Raychel Kool
Raychel Kool is a senior majoring in Honors Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts with a minor in American studies. They are from California, Kentucky. They're an Honors Roadrunner and the managing editor for Conceptions Southwest. They enjoy reading, baking, and making zines and comics. A fun fact about them is that their car’s name is Judy! If Raychel were a plant, they would be chicory.
Reyes Reynaga
Reyes Reynaga is a senior majoring in Chicana/o Studies and Honors Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts. He is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is involved with Association for Joteria Arts, Activism, and Scholarship (AJAAS), Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlan (MEChA), SSS-TRiO and is a MMUF Fellow and El Puente Fellow Alum. He enjoys art and crafting, going to punk shows, and making zines. A fun fact about him is that his favorite bands are Pierce the Veil and Generacion Suicida. If he was a plant, he would be a prickly pear cactus.
Richard Justice
Richard Justice is a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry with a certificate in Honors. He is from Gallup, New Mexico. He works in a lab at UNM’s Health Science Center and is involved with AISS Ambassadors. He enjoys reading and learning. A fun fact about him is that he attended seven schools prior to college. If he was a plant, he would be wisteria.
Rosie Deal
Rosie Deal is a junior majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Studio Art and a certificate in Honors. She is from Austin, Texas. She is the president of The HoneyChords Treble A Cappella group, is in the pre-occupational therapy club, and is involved in Regent Scholar events and programs. She loves being outside exploring Albuquerque, doing anything art related (mostly drawing, painting, or photography), reading, and hanging out with friends! Fun facts about her include that she’s designed and painted three murals, and worked on her fourth this last summer and she loves soccer and is a huge Austin FC fan. If she was a plant, she would be a rose (for obvious reasons).
Shrey Poshiya
Shrey Poshiya is a sophomore majoring in Computer Science and Pure Math with a certificate in Honors. He is from Santa Fe, New Mexico. He has been involved in the Directed Reading Program (DRP) with the math department studying knot theory and basic algebraic topology under the guidance of a couple of graduate students. He has also been doing research for the TumorAI lab under the guidance of Dr. Avinash Sahu, developing computational methods to assist in biological research at UNM and beyond. He enjoys running, tennis, outdoor activities (hiking, biking, etc.), and programming. Fun facts about him include that he listens to an unhealthy amount of music, not specific to any genre and he is trying to learn German right now and is hoping to study abroad in Germany at some point. If he was a plant, he would be a cactus.
Victoria Nisoli
Victoria Nisoli is a senior majoring in Chemistry with minors in Art Studio and Honors. She is from Los Alamos, New Mexico. She has done chemistry research at Los Alamos National Lab and Sandia National Labs. She is currently doing research at the UNM Chemistry Department and has worked for the Center for Teaching and Learning as a Supplemental Instructor. She was a staff member for Scribendi and is a Conceptions Southwest submitter. She enjoys drawing (specifically with ink and charcoal), reading, knitting, and anything related to chemistry. A fun fact about her is that she has a double-jointed shoulder. If she was a plant, she would be licorice.
